Important News: Thank you to all of our racers who turned in their Progress
Charts! All racers are now qualified and should have received their t-shirts along
with any Pit Crew t-shirts (black) that the Crew Chief may have ordered.
What to Wear on Race Day: All racers are to wear their FASTAR t-shirt with PE
pants. It is recommended that racers wear a long sleeve shirt under their FASTAR
t-shirt. It is preferred that racers do not wear jackets as they can get in the way
while they race and will make it more difficult to identify their name tags in lining up.
Of course, if it’s too cold racers will be allowed to wear jackets. The current weather
is calling for 73 and partly cloudy.
FASTAR® Competition Schedule:
FASTAR® is set for Thursday, March 8th, 2012
9:00-10:00am – Charter School 140 (Kinder)
10:00-11:00am – Teach Well 220 (1st & 2nd Graders)
11:00-12:00pm – Booster Club 350 (3rd & 4th Graders)
12:30-1:30pm – Bacon 400 (5th Graders)
Awards Ceremony – 2:00pm
Volunteers: Thank you to all that have already offered to help on race day! The
biggest needs are from 7:30-9:00 getting everything set up, preparing and passing
out lunch between 11:00-12:00, and then clean up after the awards ceremony. After
you drop your child off, please stop by the back deck of the Elementary School
office to receive a name tag which will also act as your ticket for a free hot dog
lunch! Most of all, we want our Crew Chiefs to enjoy watching and cheering on
